Martin Hinchcliffe’s love of southern Italy, and in particular, Puglia, on the ‘heel’ of Italy’s ‘boot’,
has fuelled annual visits for more than 25 years.

Martin’s relationship with the Ionian sea and his interest in Catholic artefacts and the techniques of  the Italian Renaissance painters has inspired numerous paintings that combine these vivid and sensorial elements.
